Description

In addition, with our default Resourcing settings you can define some extra features to support your actions.

Count Saturdays

Saturdays are not counted as workdays by default, so the Resourcing feature is not calculating usable hours for that day (only Mon-Fri). If you want to count Saturdays, workdays per week is extended by one day.

Count Sundays

Sundays are not counted as workdays by default, so the Resourcing feature is not calculating usable hours for that day (only Mon-Fri). If you want to count Sundays, workdays per week are extended by one day.

Activate sub-tasks (WBS)

By default, you can only use main tasks. Setting this feature on will give you the possibility to add hierarchy to your Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) by adding multiple sub-tasks for those main tasks.

Use project extra hours

With this feature you can separate project's allocated hours (total hours planned/budgeted) from actual resourced hours.

In resourcing we are using a term "Allocated hours" which basically means budgeted hours for the current task before the actual resourcing for the user or users. In the Project details we also have a field for Budgeted hours for the whole project. If you want to override that project specific hour budget with the actual hour estimate based on resourced tasks, then tap this setting on.

Allow resourcing directly to a project in grid

Note! When resourcing in the Grid view Taimer will also add a task timeline to the Gantt view.

With this feature you can actually resource directly to a project without creating any specific tasks. This is useful when you don't want split your budgeted hours into tasks but want to have a clear view of how much hours you have in use.

Allow time tracking for other user's tasks

By default you only see the tasks assigned/resourced for you. By activating this feature you can add hour entries for any tasks in the project.

Also check company of user for permission (otherwise project only)

In our Multi-company version you can block users from other companies to see each other even if they have the permissions to see cross-company projects.

Define your Resourcing settings

You can define your Resourcing settings based on your company's needs.

Settings > Feature settings > Resourcing

  1. Just click the setting on/off by clicking the blue switch.
