Recording hourly price in a accordance with the agreements on the customer and project card facilitates the creation of project invoices in accordance with agreed prices.

Jobtypes and professional titles or user-specific pricing are used to record contract prices.

1. Hourly rates

The handling of hourly rates are generally same for both Account and Project cards. Exceptions are the several rates lists can be created for account card, one what is active and can be retrieved to the Project card. The project card, on the other hand, can be used to add a a professional title that differs from user professional title on the settings.

The customer and project specific hourly rates overwrites the hourly rates specified in the settings.

Hourly rates including three elements:

  • Jobtypes

  • Professional title

  • Users

The number in parentheses after the name indicates how many prices are marked for the item.

Jobtypes are the classification factors that are defined in the settings. Jobtypes can be utilized in the classification, reports and pricing of hours. It is a mandatory information in a time entry.

Professional titles can be utilized in the classification and pricing of hours. Professional titles can be defined in settings, where users are added to Professional groups. Professional titles can be, for example SKOL classes ect.

The Professional titles in the section can be defined so-called deviating professional title, where the user is assigned a professional title that differs from the basic settings.

In the Users section, you can specify the hourly rate per user to be used for the project.

Note!

In case where account and project hourly rates has prices defined for all Jobtypes, Professional titles and users:

  • the hourly rate recorded for users overwrites the professional title and prices specified for the type of work

  • if the user does not have price, the price of the professional title overwrites the price of the job type

  • if neither the user nor the professional titles have prices Taimer uses the price specified for the job types

2. Account specific price lists

In the account-specific hourly rates section, you specify the hourly charging rates. You can also create price lists, one of which can be active and the others can be retrieved and activated as needed.

2.1 Increasing the hourly price list

You can add hourly price lists to the account on account card.

  • Click "Add Pricelist"

  • Name the price list

  • Press enter or click an empty space to save

By clicking ... - icon you can

  • Activate the created Pricelist. Activate pricelist is selectable to customer's projects too.

  • Import Default Prices from settings

  • Rename the chosen price list

2.2 Add Jobtype

  • Click Jobtypes

  • Click +- icon

  • Choose job type from drop down list

  • Set the price for job type

  • Save by clicking green icon begin the row

2.3 Add Professional titles

  • Click Professional Titles

  • Click +- icon

  • Choose Professional title from drop down list

  • Set the price for professional title

  • Save by clicking the green icon begin the row

2.4 Users: user specify hourly rate

You can also specify the hourly rate per user to be used in account invoicing.

3. Project-specific hourly price list

You can create the project specific hourly price list by importing the hourly rate list specified on the account's card or by adding the rate list separately to the project.

You can import the active hourly rate list defined for an account card by clicking the ... - icon below the Project specific hourly rates.

3.1 Add Job types

In case that you do not want to import account price list for the project you can add prices manually.

  • Click Jobtypes

  • Click +- icon

  • Choose job type from drop down list

  • Set the price for job type

  • Save by clicking green icon begin the row

You can select more than one job type for the project. By activating the "Use only selected jobtypes" , you can that only selected job types are to be used for time entry which are assigned to the project.

3.2 Add Professional title

  • Click Professional Titles

  • Click +- icon

  • Choose Professional title from drop down list

  • Set the price for professional title

  • Save by clicking the green icon begin the row

Note! You can also define a professional title for a project that differs from the professional title group defined in the user settings.

In a multi-company you can select another account's user for the project and define the professional title for user to that project. Selecting a user from another company requires that the user has permissions to record working hours for other account's projects.

3.3 Users: user specify hourly rate

You can also specify the hourly rate per user to be used in account invoicing.
