1. How to add tags

You can add tags on account, contact and project card, or in their list view. The user must have permissions to edit the account, contact or project card.

1.1 Account and project card

Tags can be added for accounts and projects by clicking Add tag in the upper right-hand side field in the selected card. By clicking the field, you'll get a list of existing tags for the account or project.

1.2 Contact card

You can add a tag to a contact in the contact card. In the User Tags field, you can get a list of existing tags and add a new tag.

2. How to change tag settings

New tags can be added in the settings (Feature Settings > Tags). If adding tags has been allowed (adding tags only in the settings toggle is deactivated), tags can be created also on account, contact and project cards.

2.1 Tag settings

Admins can configure whether same or separate tags will be used in different sections (accounts, contacts and projects) and if creating tags is only allowed in the settings by the admin.

If adding the tag is allowed on account, contact and project cards and it is directly added to one of these, the tag will also appear in the Tags list in the Settings.

2.2 Adding tags in the settings

  1. Click Add Tag button.
  2. Name the tag.
  3. Target the add to the card you want (account, contact or project card, if separate tags are used for these.
  4. Activate the tag by clicking the toggle on the right.
  5. Save the new tag by clicking the green button. You can also cancel adding the new tag by clicking the red button.

3. How to deactivate and delete tags

3.1 How to deactivate tags

If the used tag is no longer needed, it can be deactivated by clicking the toggle in the Active column. The deactivated tag remains in the tag history, but cannot be reactivated. If you'd like to use the tag again, you must create a new tag.

3.2 How to delete tags

You can delete an unnecessary tag by clicking the trash bin icon in front of the tag on the left. Information about the deleted tag will remain in the tag history, but it is not possible to retrieve it.
