If you have additional hours accumulated for a project that has already been invoiced, you can still update them as invoiced. These hours will not be invoiced to the customer and will not show up as billable hours once they are marked as invoiced. 

NB! Adding hours to your invoice will affect your hourly invoicing rate for the specific project. This means, if you have invoiced the customer for a certain number of hours, adding additional hours would mean more hours for the same amount that was originally invoiced.

How to add hours to an already sent invoice

  • Navigate to the Project for which the additional hours have been tracked
  • Click on the Project
  • Navigate to Finances from the header
  • Click on Invoices Listed

  • Click on the more options (…) icon
  • Click on View and then on Edit
  • Scroll down to the invoice details section and click on Invoicing material 
  • This will open up the Invoicing Material dialog box
  • Here you will find all the hours listed. These include the hours that were invoiced with a check mark against them and the additional hours that were not invoiced, without a check mark
  • Click on the empty box next to the additional hours to select them and click on update
  • The hours are now added to the invoice and will not be shown as billable hours
