Time tracker overview

You can easily track your hours using the time tracker in Taimer. You can track hours directly using the stopwatch, or add hours in the timesheet/time tracking calendar, bulk time entry sheet, use draggable projects, or use the mobile app. 

Fields explained:

  • Calendar view- Click here to add and view your time entries in the calendar or the timesheet 
  • Bulk Entry- You can add multiple time entries from here
  • My Hours Listed- You can get a quick overview of all your work hours from here
  • Hour Balance- The work hour balance is the difference between the number of work hours allocated in the settings and the daily hours entered by a user. Click here to learn more
  • Create new entries as tasks- Create and assign tasks directly from here
  • Show in calendar- When you select Create new entries as tasks as mentioned above, you can filter tasks based on the task status using this option
  • View entries by- You can view time entries using the project colour assigned to a project or using the colour assigned to a user's profile

Track hours using the stopwatch/timer

  • Navigate to the stopwatch icon in the top right corner next to your profile
  • Click to start recording. Click again to stop recording once you're done with a task
  • Enter project and task details


Track hours in the calendar/timesheet view

  • Navigate to Projects > Time Tracker in the blue side-bar 
  • You can update your time entries in the calendar here
  • Click and drag to enter a time entry
  • Enter project and task details

Add hours using draggable projects

  • You can view your projects under the Draggable Project list or add a new project to the list
  • Click, drag and drop the project from the list to the Calendar
  • You can edit the hours by clicking on the time entry

Add hours using bulk time entries

  • Navigate to the Bulk entry view
  • Add a project to the list
  • Click on the empty fields next to a project to add the hours to the project

  • Choose the task and the jobtype
  • Add a comment and save the comment if you'd like to replicate it to the to other days

  • Go back to the calendar view to view or edit your time entries. The start time for the bulk entries will be the default start time specified in the Time Management settings.

Add hours using the mobile app

Tracking hours via the Taimer mobile app is very similar to the browser version.

  • You can edit the hours by clicking on the time entry
  • Hold and drag the time entry on the calendar
  • Or click on the timer icon on the top right corner to start and stop tracking
  • Or click on the + symbol and select Hour Entry to enter details
